RE: the first three were...
I like every one of the movies for different reasons...
1 - Great idea for a movie. I wouldn't say orginal because if you have seen the movie Point Break its pretty much the same idea just with cars not surfing. BUT I still loved it.
2 - I liked it alot but seemed more like a "OK the first one made us alot of money - QUICK MAKE ANOTHER ONE!
3 - I loved this one and everyone I know liked this one the best. Better plot? Better Actors? maybe just something different... doesn't matter...Just like the first one...maybe there isn't 1 real reasons we liked it...we just did.

RE: the first three were...
i was surprised 3 was good to be honest...usually most after part 1 are eh'ish for most movies...but that sometimes is proven wrong...this series being 1 of them.

RE: the first three were...
The first is my favourite A great film
the 2nd wasn't so good but had a better variety of cars.
The 3rd was even worse than the 2nd However I was impressed with the drifting and some of the chase scenes. I feel it was aimed more at a younger generation.
However I still have original DVDs of all 3 films.

RE: the first three were...
The point of the F&F films is not the story. Like the bond movies they all have to have certain things in common with each other. Bond had girls guns and gadgets. Fast and Furious has cars, racing, girls, and fights, ie. FAST and FURIOUS. That's the point of watching them, and while there are many haters out there who blame the onslaught of posers out there on the movies, I don't blame the movies. I blame the cheap losers who aren't willing to put real money into their car but want to look like they fit in for being stupid. It's not the movies fault. So that's why I watch them. I love them and there ain't nothing wrong with that.
Vince: Why don't you try Fat Burger from now on? You can get yourself a cheese and fries for 2.95, faggot!
Brian: I like the tuna here.
Vince: Bullshit asshole, no one likes the tuna here!
Brian: Yeah well I do.

RE: the first three were...
personally, the 1st one was a really good film, tore away from the usual car films that were coming through like gone in 60 seconds and appealled to a new audience, not a great story line but there are far far worse story lines out there (for example DOOM).
The second was a bit of a let down, tried to live off the hype of the first but poor acting on some parts led to it dying off, plus the fact that it was a film about cars and racing that only had 1 decent race in it meant it had a lot left to be desired. I know the first only had drag racing bit it also had other bits in it involving cars and cool stunts, whereas the second just had people driving place, had it no had paul walker and tyrese gibson then it would have been a complete shambles imo.
the 3rd however was the best as far as im concered, it did exactly what it said on the tin, it was about driving, girls, drifting, etc. the reinvention of the story really impressed me as it stripped away all the hollywood fuss and made a film that was about being in control and losing yourself whilst driving.
the new one has got me scared slightly, whilst im really glad it is being made and bringing back the "old gang", it would be a shame if it went back to being as much of a let down as the 2nd one by going back to the hollywood big bucks as it where as it will take the franchise down the wrong road, the 3rd one was the right direction as far as im concerned and i think they are about to turn round and go the opposite way, but we dont know until it comes out!!
