Fast and Furious 4 Movie Cars

According to the guys at NewHemiTech, the next installment will again revolve around drifting, with American muscle going head to head against some of the JDM favorites. Word has it that the central cars will be the new Camaro and the upcoming Skyline R35 GTR. The cast of cars will also include a S197 Mustang and the current Dodge Charger, each heavily modfied by American Car Products in Whittier, CA. NewHemiTech claims the Mustang and Charger below will be in the movie.

  9. Axe Overdrive Says:

Ah, man I knew they were going to fuck up by using the new Charger, if they were smart they have Brian from 1&2 to fix Dom’s dad car as a way of saying sorry. Because, lets face it the 1969 Charger Dom had gave him an extra notch on the badass-o-meter. Give Vin back the car of ass kickery, or ruin the film forever and sink the them levels of Jenifier Lopez’s zgille or how the hell you spell it.

  18. DemonCobaltSS06 Says:

  19. jan Says:

this are not race cars , i want more silvia and skyline and the old mustang thats is wat i wand

  20. Justin Says:

yo yo nice cars u have here but i think that u guys have to tie it all together. you got a goot look at what we all like the imports in the 1st one then we got some of both muscle and imports in the second one and in the third one it was a free for all. but i think that you def have to go alot more with the paint and the cars. get some outstanding cars that you wouldnt see on the streets that much or do some crazy shit with muscles. make us wanna see the fourth. plus the cars that u guys put out there are copied on games and other places and the better the paint the better the cars are too.

  21. whocares Says:

slivias and skylines arent racecars either you fuckhead, if you look around the world all the cars mentioned are racecars if you do enough work to them and get them sorted so if your gonna say their not racecars then i repeat my first comment and say neither are silvias or skylines, nissan is gay anyway get a life, bring on the real cars, real horsepower and real life, none of this jappa crap matchbox shit!!

  22. nate Says:

wat the heck where are the old cars if its gona be a prequel to the sequel of tokyo drift you need older cars old charger etc. and definitly need the Japanese’s muscle skyline 350 “maxima” lol this is crap mustang sux charger looks ugly the way the pictures are posting this is going to target 40 year old’s vehicles blah.

  23. theslowandthefrustrated Says:

you dumb@$$es need to learn how to spell.

  24. iain Says:

im gonna b pissed off if they turn muscle cars in to shitty jap imports

  25. Jay Says:

Many ppl feel that the Fast and Furious movies are dumb. I agree the first was the best, second kinda corny, third not bad. As bad as you feel these movies might have been to you, if you loves cars, isnt it better that nothing at all!? I have just about every car movie there is and enjoy all of them for different reasons. Yes i know each of us has our own idea of how the movie should be and if we were in charge we each feel we could make a very realisic car movie with a good story line. That is probably how all the F & F sequels were in the writers eyes originaly until Hollywood bought the script for a million or 2 and then changed to what they felt would appeal to the mass public, because i guess that what really matters right? making the numbers happen! I would love to see some real car talk, you know engine and mechanical lingo, some street rod stuff with the cali rat rod scene , some lowriders, muscle , imports….all of it and mix it up to open the world to the real car scene with drag racing, drfting and street racing and stay away from crazy special effects (especially insane car jumps that obviosly would destroy the car and seriosly hurt the driver let alone keep racing and win!) Do all that and with a simple story and i think would be a nice ending to the sequal, because lets face it, this will be the last one so i hope that make it one to remember. But it really up the director to make it work. I would love to hear other idea of how the movie should turn out. Maybe even someone (like the dirctor) looks at these sites and gets ideas! I feel we should try and enjoy the few cars movies( or parts of them) for what they are and be happy that they sre still making them for now and maybe if we keep wishing and commenting on sites like these more will get made the way we think they should be!

  26. Chris Says:

OK PEOPLE IT IS CALLED A NISSAN GTR NOT A SKYLINE……ITS NOT A SKYLINE

  27. giiZeR Says:

man… they need to mix it up put old school and new school… such as NISSAN SILVIA’S, ACURA INTEGRA’S, EVO’S, HONDA HATCHBACK’S, SKYLINE’S, RX7′S, RX8′S, INFINITY’S (G35), 350Z’S, MUSTANG COBRA’S, MUSTANG SALEEN’S, SHELBY’S, CAMARO’S, CHEVELLE’S, (RIGHT HAND DRIVE’S) AND MUCH MORE… ***IF ANYONE FROM THE MAKERS OR (CAR SCOUTS FOR THE MOVIE) SEE’S THIS I HAVE A 1998 INTEGRA WITH ITR JDM CONVERSION W/ TYPE FRONT LIP, RECARO INTERIOR (RECARO FRONT BUCKET SEATS, RECARO BACK SEATS), ITR JDM DASHBOARD, ITR JDM CLUSTER, STEERING WHEEL QUICK RELEASE, GSR ENGINE WITH T3/T4 TURBO AND MUCH MUCH MORE… IF INTERESTED, >>>E-MAIL ME

  28. Brian Earl Spilner Says:

well i agree that the fast and the furious 1 is the best movie of the other 2.i cant wait to see the part 4,well 1 am 16 and a have the tuned up honda civic from 98.it rocks

  29. max Says:

this 4 that kid chris it is nissan skyline gtr its not just nissan gtr and
i like the new mustang just i dont like charger any thing with 4 doors is not a muscle car or a race car so i think they should take it out

  30. max Says:

wow look at the turbo on that mustang the car has at least 700hp

  31. ManduSS Says:

The new Subaru WRX STI is in the movie. If it was all american muscle they wouldn’t be looking for cars to cast in the movie on the Import Tuner website.

I agree with Shaun about the American Muscle.. the cars now a days are not muscle at all… well, okay, new muscle and it’s not great. 60’s-80’s is where the real muscle is at.

It is nice to have a mix of domestic and import in the movies though. Different variety, makes things a little more interesting.

I haven’t seen Tokyo Drift yet, but will before I see the new one whenever it comes out.

Who said the Nissan GT-R isn’t a race car? The GT-R was stripped of it’s parts to be as light as possible for racing and performed very well at the track. The sedan racked up 33 victories in less than 2 years and the coupe stretched it to 50 through 1972. They designed the GT-R after the Porsche 959 which was Intended for Racing … dun dun dunnn…

I am a fan of imports and domestics, actually planning on purchasing my first this year for tracking and show unless I get a RWD and go Drift instead.

This movie isn’t much of a threat really, it has sweet cars, awesome professional drivers, stunt men/women… Well, it’s not a threat to those who OWN their own vehicles. Street racing is done by those who drive mommy and daddy’s car majority of the time… at least around here.

  32. michael walker Says:

hi my name is michael walker im a big big fan. i am just wondering when fast and furious 4 will be out. just in case of a reply my email is mike_psp@hotmail.com

  34. driftaway Says:

For tis movie we need a lot of JDM cars

  35. ahmet Says:

very good all cars and very nice film :)

  36. f&f Says:

i dont know what the hek it is that all you guys want all these lame ass cars in the movie for!!! o lets see a skyline lets see muscle lets see some imports like integras and hondas!!! what the hek what should really be in the movie is rare cars, cars that you dont see on the street every day… cars like the new nissan gtr and the new camarow that is comming out soon!! now that is something you wanna look at not the same cars from the street or the same ones from the other f&f parts. They all had a GTR and imports and muscle cars, i am sure they will not dissapoint this time, no matter what cars they use in the movie…..as long as they dont use the charger its a family sedan why would they use that!!!!!

  37. zak Says:

this film is goin to grate by the sound of it i just hope it drags on to a 5 film and in cant wait for the film to come out . And is sean in the 4 film and dose brian o conner out of the first 2 films come into the 4 film just want to know.e-mail me to say if they are. in case of a reply my e-mail is lilzakho94@hotmail.com

  38. Kappa Says:

And now its time to involve the new Challenger………..
    maybe the new Camaro????

I hope this will be a movie around american muscle!

  39. jdm wong Says:

they should have kept the mustang red with out all the flames. l smell rice

  40. Jeroen Says:

@ reka real cars… tuned cars are toy cars…. american muscle car are the best..

for the rest.. I can’t wait to see the movie

  41. JDMFTW Says:

I am very disapointed with the cars they chose to use. like everyone said if you want muscle cars go back to the 60s new muscle cars these days are more about being fuel efficient and having nice interiors then power. they appeal to middle aged men. F&F 3 had great cars. all the muscle car fans are just sad when they see japans little 4 bangers putting out similiar numbers to theyre huge V8s who has the better design? new mustang 4.6L V8: 300whp little honda 2.2L 4cyl 237hp

  42. E30 turbo denmark Says:

well… i think this movie is gonna be kick ass, but well i hoped to see some lowbuck imports in this one, but who says it wouldnt be fine with giving the v8´s a chance, i like the grey one in the pictures:D

  43. chris Says:

everyone who says 4 doors are boring are wrong.

  44. deev Says:

idk bout these cars, ive seen a vid and they have a spoon eg hatch, blue widebody nsx, purple fc rx7, blue solstice (by suduction imports), and a widebody tiburon with the roof chopped off!!!

  45. deev Says:

see the vid on cardomain.com (btw)

  46. Paul Vincent Says:

ok whoever said to get some silvias and integras needs to burn american muscle kick ass and always will and always has

  47. snowmandx Says:

listen the nissan skyline is a family car but when the r33 was used as a race car in japan it was band coz nothing els could beat it nissan knew then they had a real race car and thats when the r 34 was created and that was even faster but since the r33 all skylines have been band from raceing because of there power the new skyline wasnt ment to be used in any games or movies coz nissan wanted the skyline to get its family car rep back and the old american cars make great racers but i dont get why they arent useing cars like vectra 2.5 cdx or the focus st there good street racer cars not all the great raceing cars come from the usa and japan in a drag race the aston martin db9 would crush a charger or the skyline

  48. Paul Vincent Says:

umm an aston martin woiuld smoke a charger and skyline but the charger is a family car and aston martin hi performance so put a viper against a little V8 aston martin and the aston martin would be owned

  49. Chyle deVries Says:

I think that this movie if these cars will truly be in this movie… but I think that regardless of what happens I think that the new movie will be a head turner… My opinion is that I think that being the movie all about muscle cars is a load of shit! I mean I am a country boy that owns only american stuff… but the fast and the furious movies are all about not only american cars but import cars too… They should make a movie more like redline I think… But I mean come on just american muscle that isn’t the way in these movies but well find out… I can’t wait to see the movie though… I think it will turn out kickass regardless… For anyone who wants to share there opinions hit me up at backwoods_country_bo y@hotmail.com

  50. A_Capitalist Says:

I love the incredible stupidity a lot of people have decided to post on here. I have the feeling I’m speaking to the same crowd, if they had their way, would take a Toyota Supra, spend a small fortune tuning the motor and suspension, and then throw an assload of heavy stereo equipment in the trunk, and then paint the entire car some color only seen on TVRs and during acid-trips. For instance, “that mustang need a SALEEN body kit!!!” is a great example of this mentality. Why not just buy a Saleen Mustang SC with the Saleen suspension and engine; I’m pretty sure the bodykit is free.

The majority of comments about American cars vs. Japanese cars vs. German cars (wait…I guess everyone forgot about them…) have been the most idiotic, trite nonsense I’ve ever read. I’ve owned a Japanese-ish car (2g Eclipse GSX) and I currently own an American-ish car (2006 GTO/Monaro). Both were/are great vehicles with unique characteristics that make them appealing; the GSX was an excellent all-weather sports car, and was easy to mod; the GTO, stock, is superior because of its excellent power band/lack of turbo lag and slightly sharper handling; there are numerous Australian companies that sell high-performance parts for it, as well.

The muscle cars of the late 1950 sthrough the early 1970s are very iconic, and some are very fast in a a straight line. However, they are still built with 1950s - 1970s technology; it wasn’t until the 1980s with the IROC-Z Camaro and the fourth-generation Corvette that we saw an all-American all-rounder that was both quick and a handler. the so-called muscle cars of today are just as, if not more powerful, have decent suspensions and brakes, and — as someone pointed out — have livable interiors. Why would you not want any of those things? Automobile companies need to make a profit; good characteristics tend to sell cars.

For those of you who haven’t figured it out, the current Charger is a derivative of the Chrysler 300c, which is in turn based on a modified W210 Mercedes E-Class Platform. It is also a great car in higher trim, namely the SRT8 model. The 1966 - 1974 Charger, in turn, was based on the Chrysler B platform — used for an entire line of sedans and coupes. This mentality that the current Dodge Charger is bad just because it has four doors is baseless. I guess since the 1957 Skyline was a Sedan, it means the R32, R33, and R34 GTR variants suck; fyi, as it has been pointed out, the new Nissan GTR is not part of the Skyline line (G37 here in the US), though the Skyline platform was used as a test-bed.

Silvias and RX7s are great cars; I’m a fan of the older, first generation RX7 myself, but I have a great deal of respect for the later models as well. However, given market prices, why not buy an older Porsche 944 and work from there? The aftermarket for those cars is quite nice. Along the same lines, I guess everyone has forgotten about a company called BMW. If good suspensions and rear-drive turn everyone on, they’ve been doing that for quite some time. Granted their cars are a bit larger and heavier than a 240sx, but anyone that says an E36 M3 is not an excellent car and a great basis for tuning (and a bargain at $20k these days) is either foolish or ignorant. It goes without saying that the aftermarket for BMW’s is gigantic, suiting any need or desire.

With the orgasmic love of Japanese cars and discussions about racing heritage, the only mnetion of the Acura NSX has been something about a widebody show car. The NSX is a great platform and has a solid racing heritage in both Le Mansand JGTC/Super GT. Comptech is a company that has an entire line of performance parts for the NSX, including a supercharger.

On the subject of motorsports and racing, I’m glad that the words “WRX STI,” “WRX,” and “EVO” show up about once each on this page. These are the best Japanese bargain cars out there. For ~30k, any of these provide an excellent plafform. The same goes for either the 300zx or 350z, and virtually any of the large GT cars sold, namely the 3000gt VR4/Dodge Stealth RT-Turbo, the Toyota Supra, and the Lexus SC300/400 family, although I don’t think anyone in their right mind can justify spending 40k on a used Supra. Just buy a used Corvette C5 Z51 for 20k and mod it with the other 20k.

If I’ve come across as mean, or as an asshole, I am glad. These movies are not the be-all, end-all resource on cars; the wonderful world of wikipedia can give you all the information you need about model years and equipment, as well as history. The next resource is magazines; Import Tuner is not the best one to go for. Try picking up a copy of Road and Track, Car and Driver, or — when you think you’re ready — Sports Car International and Evo. Import Tuner is great when you want and try and do projects yourself, and it is equally good for inspiration as they do show properly modified cars (Sport Compact Car is equally as good), but these magazines are not the place to learn statistics about a car’s actual, bone-stock performance. You need to read actual tests done in actual controlled settings by people who actually know what they’re doing. If you love the internet, Edmunds.com is the place to be. If you enjoy TV, the Speed Network, Top Gear, and Fifth Gear are excellent resources that are all quite informative in their own ways.

  51. TokyoDriftKing Says:

I have been waiting for the sequel for years finally but i think the mustang is not quite badass yet they need something normal they r trying to hard something like a New Skyline or RSX

  52. Fame Says:

I heard that Brian O’ Conner is driving a Subaru, If you don’t believe me, check this website.

    http://www.scoobyblog.com/2008-02-09/fast-furious-four-lead-vehicle-subaru-impreza-sti-2008

  53. Reid Says:

I think most of you guys are missing the point here. As A_Capitalist pointed out all of these “Modern American” cars have roots in old and/or import cars from abroad. The movie is about “American muscle” to complete the circle. if you study a little bit you will find that different car companies borrow ideas from one another and sometimes even cooperate in the development process.

As for the chargers that nobody likes… I have an ‘07 Charger SRT8…lightly modded and I stomp a mud hole in about anything that tries me, including LS2 corvettes. I have taught my young daughters to wave goodbye (from their car seats) to the competition when i leave their ass in the dust. The only time I got spanked bad was from a Twin turbo Supra, but it was….TWIN TURBO. Just think what The SRT8 would do with a supercharger or a turbo like these 4 bangers use. 440horsepower isn’t too shabby for a n/a car. In retrospect…the charger they are using for the movie is an R/T model, 350HP(stock). Go figure.

although its probably not stock anymore…

  54. MAX H Says:

    # 4 HAD BETTER BE MORE LIKE THE 1ST THAN THE OTHERS
IMPORTS AND AMERICAN MUSCLE ARE BOTH NESESSARY, BUT GODDAMN, BRING DOMS CHARGER BACK!!! ALSO I WANT TO SEE A 71 HEMI CUDA IN THE MOVIE, AND LIKE 30′S-70′S RODS TOO
I’M SAYING, THEY NEED TO SWITCH IT UP BUT KEEP IT LIKE THE 1ST MOVIE… I’M STOKED FOR THE NEW ONE THOUGH!

  55. The Flash Says:

    hope there’ll be a lots of joke & fun, just like the 2nd not 1st & 3rd. man, i like… it!
    (ps: add import cars please?)

  56. john Says:

will brian be in this fim

  57. D-zel Says:

you should put all the stars from the 1st,2nd,3rd movies and put the all together in this movie and also you should bring back the old nissan skyline gtr with brian showing him fixing it up in the begining of the movie then at some point he crashs it and gets the new nissan skyline gtr that would be awsome. You guys should also get some imports in this one aswell.

  58. 89 TOASTER Says:

i hope they putr some ef in that bitch.sir 4 life. i also hope the make it more realistic. than part two.they need to also put more racing and not so much bull shit in them. but other than that. fast and the furious put strret in to the main stream.that and put imports at the top of the fuckin wish list…….kill all v8’s

I can not wait to see this movie so much and because the cars are so cool to look at

  70. Gantz Says:

O.K., this blog is absolutely cracking me up….

There are so many false and uneducated comments being made about cars on here that many of you should either never be allowed to drive or have your licenses taken away.

The Nissan Skyline GTR has been a used circuit car (”race car” for the morons) since the 70’s. It is one of the top rated production cars in the world and has one many circuit races as a modified vehicle. The Skyline has gained popularity on it’s own merit through continuous innovation in design and engineering and has mostly been adored by REAL racers for what’s under the hood. When the R32 was introduced in 1989 it out-performed everything in it’s class and as a circuit car kicked some serious ass…. after that it was tagged with the nick-name “Godzilla” in Japan.

Cars are not judged “race cars” for mere horsepower alone. Agility, handling, low-end / high-end ratio, torque, reliability, etc.- etc., are all factors in determining a vehicles worthyness as trick ride. A stock 427 1969 Camaro would be absolutely laid to waste by a 1993 Twin Turbo Toyota Supra and the Camaro wouldn’t handle worth a shit either.

All of the cars from race movies like The Fast and the Furious are HIGHLY MODIFIED and are very difficult to compare to one another whether they are imports or domestic. High performance cars (whether circuit or street)are upgraded in line with the type of race duty that will be required. A car that is upgraded for straight-line drag racing is done very differently than a car that is upgraded for course work or drifting.

Most American muscle cars of the past were designed with pure speed, torque, and horsepower in mind. These cars were absolutely terrible in terms of handling and driveability…. they were just raw-power machines. The newer American muscle cars are much better suited for all around driving than the ones of the past.

Japanese sports cars tend to be better engineered with much higher part tolerances. Japanese sports cars are known for precision and reliability…. they’re just made better. American cars have been catching up fast over about the past 10-15 years though.

I personally value handling over horsepower. A good tight suspension with a wicked set of brakes will get you much farther in racing than something that is over-powered and sloppy.

  91. JF Says:

I think Brian should have another skyline or supra they should
use tuners. Maybe you can do a little drifting it might be fun. Yo gti s suck they look like mini vans and they have no horse power. Vin diesel Should have a Chevelle ss. I think
they should bring Mia back too.

  92. reality Says:

So if this new movie is supposed to go back in time, where do you guys get off thinking they’re gonna be racing 07 dodge chargers…not even invented during the time of the movie, but all the same, I’m looking forward to some decent racing filmography, no offense but redline just didn’t quite cut it for me

  93. fast and the furious lover Says:

I have seen the videos on youtube of the cars and most are ricers besides the muscle cars and the skylines

  94. Dominic Says:

    when will it release

  95. Dominic Says:

when will the movie come out

  96. austin Says:

wow! why put a charger in this 4th movie, when u can put a challeger in it. challeger is a much better looking american muscle.

  97. fast and the furious lover Says:

autin, I disagree and agree on that, remember in the first movie his dads charger even though he crashed in the last race scene he could of had baught another then trick it out like his dads again. But I don’t think that is what they did. If they did put the challenger I would want the one from 2fast 2 furious. I hope that the blower on the charger isn’t fake like in the first one.

  98. ff lovah Says:

they seriously need better looking cars

  99. L-Hamz Says:

Why did they do that to the fronts of the cars it looks gay and they should have the new camaro in the movie it would make it sick

  100. le duc Says:

    fast

  101. armando b Says:

What do you mean no imports thats the best thing about this movie imports suck those little rice burners cant even compare to real muscle cars and these movies prove it because in the first movie if that supra wouldnt have had nos it would have never caught up to that charger, so i think the less imports the better
